Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte Powder – Review

OMG! This powder is amazing! I use it over my Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation. Listed below are some powder pros and cons.

Loreal Powder

Pros

  • Great coverage with not a lot of product. That’s always a plus! I hate running out of powder, but it doesn’t look like I will anytime soon.
  • Glides on smooth over foundation and blends easily.
  • Great color selection.
  • High quality powder at an affordable price.
  • Lasts all day and all night with no touch-ups!

Cons

  • To be completely honest, there are no cons with this powder. It is an amazing and affordable product!

I recommend this product to anyone. You will not be disappointed!

Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation Review

I recently purchased Loreal’s Infallible Pro-Matte Foundation as well as the Infallible Pro-Matte Powder and I absolutely love it. I was definitely pleased from the start and this foundation stands up to the test of time. Listed below are the pros and cons of the foundation.

Loreal Foundation

When this foundation says it lasts…it REALLY lasts!!

Pros

  • It really does last 24 hours with NO touch-ups. Color doesn’t fade or look tired. (Side note…I’m a singer/musician, as well as the choir leader at my church, and had a late gig one Saturday night. I wore this foundation along with the powder and never had to touch it up during the gig. When I got home, I was too tired to do anything but go to bed, (and I know you aren’t supposed to do this, but…) so I slept in my makeup! *gasp* The next morning when I got up for church, my makeup still looked very fresh, so I went with it! No one knew that it was the makeup from the night before. Sorry. Not sorry.)
  • Color selection is excellent. I have fair skin and theĀ Natural Ivory matched perfectly.
  • Goes on smooth and blends very easily.
  • Matte Finish
  • Excellent coverage with not a lot of product. It provides medium coverage that is buildable if desired.

Cons

  • I use shimmery eye shadows. Where this is a matte foundation, it does take away some of the shimmer I am used to getting when I use other foundations as an eye shadow base/primer. I thoroughly enjoy shimmery eyeshadows, so this is a downer for me.
  • Makes dramatic eye shadow colors not true to their color. Shades appear lighter than what they actually are, so you typically have to apply a little more.

* I will more than likely begin using a different primer for my eyelids to rectify this problem.

Overall this foundation is great and I highly recommend it to anyone!

Lazy Day Tips!

We all have them. Those lazy days where you don’t feel like doing much of anything or are in a hurry to get to work or an appointment. I’ve compiled a short list of tips for those lazy days!

  1. Use a light moisturizer. This will help eliminate dry spots resulting in a brighter and more healthy looking complexion.
  2. Dab on a little concealer under the eyes and on problem areas.
  3. Apply powder alone. I know it’s scary if you’re used to using both liquid foundation and a powder, but be brave! Use a little more powder on your forehead and cheeks.
  4. Apply a peachy colored blush and a bronzer to give a nice glow. This too will help brighten your complexion.
  5. Throw on a coat or two of mascara and some tinted lip balm and you are ready to go!

I know the holidays are busy for everyone! I have been using this lazy day routine quite a bit over the holidays! I hope these tips help you!

I would love to hear from you. What is your lazy day beauty routine?

Thanks! Happy Holidays!
